thanks nvr. I just know that so many people die every year who have no one, absolutely no one, who even notices they are missing. They are often homeless and/or elderly. And they need someone to remember them, somehow....

The Waning Year - Preparing for Samhuin (Halloween)
by diamondblue1974 inas the year slows down towards winter we enter a time reflection and preparation for the coming year, it is, for many pagans (as well as christians) a time for rememberance of those passed over, loved ones who are with us no more.
this fits in well with the belief of many that at this time of year the veil between the spirit world and the physical is at its thinnest and our ancesters/loved ones are closer to us.. for those loved and missed, who would you choose to remember at this time of year and why?.

Well Linda was going to have a place this year....
Other than that there have been a few people that passed on that will be remembered.
People who were JW, that I still cared very much for.
And as last year, we'll be remembering those who have fallen in the war, soldiers and civilians alike. And a candle will likely be lit for those who have died and have no one to remember them.

Our Friend Linda
by iamfreenow injulie and i have both known linda for over 25 years, from when she first became a jw, so we decided to write this tribute to her.. we first met linda in january 1981, when she attended her first ever meeting at our kingdom hall.
she had been taking the magazines for a few months, since just after she finished university, and had started studying a few weeks before, but this was the first time she had plucked up the courage to attend a meeting.
julie was having many doubts herself by then, and once again linda was supportive, as was trev.

My friend and I are dressing up as bar wench's.
Since the term bar wench is probably NOT kid friendly we're calling ourselvse Pirate Mothers, since her oldest and my oldest will be pirates.

Does a person's true personality come out when they're drunk?
by lfcviking ini've heard this been said before that when you have had loads to drink and when your inhibitions are temporarily removed then the real you is exposed.
i.e:.
some people when they've got a skinfull they might start talking about money & bragg about personal financial achievements and how much more money they're going to earn.. some people after a few beers suddenly think they're rocky balboa and think they can take the world on.. others after sinking some g & t's might turn into a crazed sexual tyrannosaurus!!.
